It's [livejournal.com profile] yuletide time!! In my ideal world, here's what I'd get to read:

* Some Kind of Wonderful: Watts/Amanda Jones
* Appaloosa: Everett/Virgil
* Bones: Booth/Brennan. (This should be a first time fic involving a lot of pining and angst right up until the happy, porntastic ending.)
* SMK: Amanda/Lee. Please.
* Babylon 5: Sheriden/Delenn

Hmmmm. You know what? That may be the only rare(r) pair fic I'm itching for right now.

I'll always, always read Ronon. I'm still waiting for the perfect House/Wilson fic that addresses the end of last season and beginning of this season. There has been some great Rose/Ten v2.0 but I'm still looking for more. Jack/Daniel continues to please me and, despite recent reading habits, I haven't given up on Harry/Snape. Unexpectedly, Dean/Castiel has added new opportunities in a fandom that, for me, had entirely consisted of Sam/Dean or Jared/Jensen. And, of course, I'm still waiting for the epic Grissom/Saturn story.

4 miles!

I was finally pressured into upping my run to 4 miles so I adjusted my route on mapmyrun.com and off I went. I wasn't sure I could do it but I actually managed to stay on a 10 minute mile pace and it's the first time I ran for 40 minutes straight. \o/

This morning was my book club with Gregory McGuire. *loves* No question, it was my favorite of the book clubs I've done. He's smart, funny and engaging and all of the book club members were wildly enthusiastic to be there. So much fun! I think the book club will be up on borders.com 10/14 when A Lion Among Men streets.

Tomorrow I'm going to see the filmed version of RENT! Thankfully, my friend Anne bought the tickets when I was in the UK because all of the A2 shows are now sold out. After the show (movie?), we're going back to her place to watch the Michigan game and cook dinner. A perfect Saturday if you ask me.

Tonight's agenda: nothing. I was out last night and missed SPN so there's that and it's also Daniel Jackson's return to SGA. (!!!) I'm going to dvr the debates so I can pick and choose the parts I want to watch. As a bonus, there's new Jack/Daniel fic from [livejournal.com profile] paian in an open tab waiting for me.

ETA: OH! Bruce Boxleitner is on the first two episodes of Heroes so I have that to catch up on, too!!

Maybe it's just the crossover that's eaten my brain. [livejournal.com profile] mctabby requested art, ficlets, etc. featuring Mulder with McGonagall and/or Moody and, really, I can't deny that Mulder works perfectly with almost every HP character.

Here's my take on Mulder/McGonagall/Moody.

I'm up early and it's a perfect Sunday. I'm heading to the beach for a walk before it gets oppressively hot and, at some point today, I have to update the [livejournal.com profile] house_slash memories. Plus there's more SGA to watch, I'm in the middle of a very long Sheppard/McKay story, and, if [livejournal.com profile] not_satisfied and I can connect on AIM later, my site redesign may be ready to go. Whooo! Tonight is the final installment of Rob Lowe's Lifetime miniseries but last week's episode is up in NY on my mother's Tivo so I'll have to tape it and wait to watch until I see part 4. Alas, no Rob for me tonight.

First. A drabble for [livejournal.com profile] between_names. Sebastian Arcelus/Severus Snape.

Sebastian stole a look at the audience slowly filing into their seats. Yup. There he was again. Row C, Seat 11. After five performances in a row, the mystery man was becoming a fixture in the theater. During his run in RENT, Sebastian grew accustomed to fanatic fans but not with this show and certainly no one who looked like the gentleman in row three. Dark cloths, lank hair, sour expression – he looked like he'd be much more comfortable in a mortuary.

Waiting for the show to start, Severus flipped through his Playbill. He'd never tire of the Beach Boys.

That probably only made sense if you know Sebastian's theater history. But the accompanying icon is oddly appropriate.

Tropical Storm Hurricane Katrina is on it's way to Florida and we're expecting 8 - 12" of rain over the next 24 hours. I'm stocked up on bottled water, peanut butter, and crackers - the most important supplies in a power outage. I can handle the dark with far more grace than I can handle hunger.

I stopped at Home Depot after work and, on the recommendation of the Home Depot woman, bought some indoor/outdoor ant spray. It's better than borax because it doesn't actually attract the ants. It kills them immediately and, then, something in the spray keeps them away. I'm not questioning it. I'm just praying that it works. *prays*
