There are all sorts of lame things happening at work (LAME) but, away from the office, we're having none of that.

First. [livejournal.com profile] coolwhipdiva attended the Brokeback Mountain premiere in LA and posted a wonderful recap. December 9th can't come soon enough.

Second. Seasons four and five of Oz arrived! I left off at the New Year's kiss and I'm ready for more.

Third. [livejournal.com profile] laurelgardner's take on Grissom fanon. Her Grissom is my Grissom, too. For example: 3. Grissom the neat freak who's always doing paperwork. Paperwork? What show are you watching? As for the neatness, I think people are a bit confused by the thing he said to Aaron Pratt (Caged) about liking order. I always read that as being a general sort of comment and an attempt to connect with the guy, not a firm statement about the way Gil lives his life. And did you notice the inside of his house (The Strip Strangler)? Every available surface was covered in piles of...stuff.

Fourth. Magical bandwidth. Over 70 people downloaded House (02x08) from me and, somehow, when I should have only had enough for 23 downloads, I still have bandwidth available. I don't get it but I'm not going to question. Perhaps it's a Chanukah miracle! ;) (Okay. I am going to question it. This morning I had 10 gigs available and cPanel says I've only used 6. How is that possible? Shouldn't my bandwidth be gone? Do I suck at the maths or do I simply not understand how this works?) ETA: Now it says I've used 123917.97 MB and my bandwidth is used up. Isn't that 123GB? I only have 70GB of bandwidth/month. How is that possible?

Fifth. [livejournal.com profile] house_notice has over 200 watchers! YAY!

Sixth. John Sheppard. Now, I know he's the new black but there's a reason. Just look at him. All I'm missing is an icon of the thigh holster because, if Sheppard's the new black, his thigh holster is the diamond accessory.

Seventh. I thought I was one of the only people watching Criminal Minds but, based on EW's ratings review of new fall shows, it seems I'm simply one of the only people on my friends list who's watching. It turns out it's the 2nd highest new show of the season!

CSI (06x08)... )

That was a hell of an episode.

Does anyone know if there's decent Gil/Sophia fic floating around?

Some random work/family stuff... )

And I'm half way through season three of Oz. I owned season one for a long, long time before I made my way through the entire season and, right now, I can't imagine why. I'm hooked! I'm so tempted to download Beecher/Keller clips but I'm forcing myself to do this in order. The payoff will be sweeter. I do need to start buying the rest of the seasons on ebay rather than bn.com, though.

I wish I was among the many seeing GoF at midnight but, alas, Naples, FL does not have a midnight showing. Instead it's 7pm tomorrow. Perhaps I'll have to sport the Department of Magical Law Enforcement medallion during the day.

* I am completely sucked in by the hype of this West Wing live debate and I'm a little bit in love with Jimmy Smits and Alan Alda for having the balls to do this. It's strange and, yet, oddly engaging. I want to vote.

* [livejournal.com profile] eleanor_lavish is visiting from Wednesday evening through Sunday afternoon so I straightened up the guest room and did some food shopping in preparation! I'm getting an EL!

* Has anyone read ER fic? Is there any good Benton/Carter out there? I'm particularly interested in fic that deals with the aftermath of the stabbing but, really, I'll take anything that's good and I'm not quite sure where to start.

* I'm responsible for updating the community memories over at [livejournal.com profile] house_slash and I've gotta tell you - people do a piss poor job adhering to the format for posting fic. It wouldn't bother me except that it makes updating the memories that much more time consuming.

* Poor little Sally threw up twice today. She seems okay and I think I was more freaked out than she was but I'm keeping my eyes on her.

* I adore Rupert Grint.

* I watched the first three episodes of OZ season 2 today and I'm ready for Chris Keller. I believe he's up next!

* Big meeting at work all day tomorrow and Tuesday. We're prepared but I always have a bit of an adrenaline rush and mild anxiety before a meeting this big.

ETA: NBC set up a Santos/McGarry campaign site and a Vinick/Sullivan campaign site. Both have links to Rock The Vote. You can also vote for the winner of the debate.. (As I mentioned...sucked in by the hype.)
