I didn't have a chance to watch BSG until this morning. Let me start off by saying that I have little to no interest in Gaeta. I'm sorry he lost his leg but his absurd singing was trumped only by Teyla's ballad and, though the direction things are going don't seem in my favor, I hope Gaeta isn't integral to the back half of the season.

Is that an unpopular BSG opinion? Do the general masses love Gaeta?

Moving on. The cylons rock, old and new. I loved the looks on Tigh and Tory's faces when Natalie said that D'Anna knows the identity of the final five. They're playing this so well. Same when Tigh stopped Galactica from firing on the Base Star and the exchange with Adama afterward. Just, generally speaking, I always liked Tigh but he's infinitely more fascinating now. Same with Anders.

I'll spare you all the detailed meta but BSG continues to do an excellent job blurring the lines of humanity as it was the cylons who questioned their decision to mislead the humans rather than the other way around.

I'm glad to see, from the previews for "Sine Qua Non," that Natalie didn't die. I really like her. Someone on my friends list questioned whether she could be the dying leader rather than Roslin. Very interesting idea. Certainly, though, we'd need to understand more about the opera house hallucination. Are all the Six's having it, including Natalie, or is it contained to Caprica!Six (in which case Roslin likely remains the dying leader).

The imagery of Roslin walking through the Base Star while Natalie walked through Galactica was awesome. AND THEN THE HYBRID KIDNAPPED THE HUMANS. Hahahaha! Also awesome! I remember, accidentally, hearing that Roslin was kidnapped but I completely forgot about it until today. It's perfect. The cylon rebels were actually trying to collaborate with the humans but, of course, Adama & Co. are going to think it was a cylon plot. I LOVE IT. I can't wait to see Roslin's reaction when she realizes what happened.

ETA: My commentary includes a reference to the preview for the next episode. Be warned if you avoid the aired previews.

Two weeks until the next episode!

In the meantime, I had to make a short clip of my favorite line of the season from "Escape Velocity," courtesy of Saul Tigh.
