What I wonder is whether this is a model trait specific to the Eights or if it's, perhaps, a design flaw that came from the development of a sleeper model. Or maybe both. Specifically, I think it's interesting that the one cylon model to split among itself is the one that had a sleeper agent among the humans. Perhaps creating the sleeper model, who thought independently of cylon will for all those years, necessitated the ability for all of the Eights to think independently of each other.
