Remember earlier in the day when I was worrying over the fact that I need to expedite a passport renewal for my March trip to London?
Fast forward to this conversation at my friend's superbowl party:
Friend: When's your cruise?
Me: Two weeks!
Friend: Do you need a passport for cruises, these days?
Me: *thud*
I LOSE.
Yes, yes, yes, I need a passport for my cruise which I know because I needed one last year and the year before that. Thank god my friend mentioned it or my passport would be in the mail the the passport agency and I wouldn't be able to go on my cruise.
Now I'm going to have to take a vacation day and get my ass to the passport agency in Chicago for an emergency passport before I leave on 2/17. My work schedule is a nightmare this week - I think I'm going to have to try for an appointment for next Monday. I'm so annoyed at myself for not dealing with this earlier.
PS. I think I'm the only person on my friends list who's disappointed the Patriots lost.
ETA: Homeland Security is telling me I can use a driver's license and birth certificate as of 1/3/108. I need to figure this out asap.
